The best book on McKinley, which I mentioned, is H Wayne Morgan’s “William McKinley and his America.” On the Gilded Age, I’m not sure. I have a couple good recommendations for the Spanish-American War, but not the whole era writ large.
This was a fascinating conversation. I learned a tremendous amount. I am sorry I got to it so late. But I am so happy I did!

The author Katz, also ends the book on a TDS rant. Do not buy or support this guy.
