Happy Easter!
A few updates:
In March, I recorded a conversation with King Bolingbroke on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, I recorded a session for the Nationalism vs. Globalism course on Michael Anton’s The Stakes, and wrote an essay on The Problem of Writing for Others.
I’m going out of town at the end of this week, but I will put out a promised session on Pierre Manent’s A World Beyond Politics?: A Defense of the Nation State the next weekend for the Nationalism vs. Globalism course.
The weekend after that I will be interviewing contemporary author Clawson Smith about his new book: Posserilla: A Time for Tomahawks.
Finally, King Bolingbroke and I have laid out plans to record a discussion on Shakespeare’s King Lear in June.
I hope to get back to Homer in between the Clawson and Shakespeare conversations.
Finally a thank you note to free and paid subscribers!

To Paid Subscribers:
Thank you for taking the next step. An important thing that your financial contribution makes possible is paying other instructors who make contributions to our project. Your generous contributions so far have allowed me to pay my co-instructor, Phocaean, for our completed course, Understanding Modern Liberty, and it has allowed me to pay my co-instructor, King Bolingbroke, for a course on Shakespeare that is just getting off of the ground. The pay is less than they deserve, based on their excellence, but I hope that over time I can offer instructors more.
The next big goal is to find an instructor who can teach a course that is way outside of my wheelhouse—preferably on science. Your contribution will help make this prospect more attractive for a serious candidate.
Over the long term, the goal is a physical campus. It may be a long way off but I will keep plugging away until a shovel hits the dirt. We will build a parallel college that helps populate a RW counter elite that will take and wield power and / or that will protect their localities from the forces of decadence while providing a positive vision of what healthy and beautiful life looks like.
Looking forward to your Lear discussion with da King. Possibly my favorite of the plays, it is a very deep well!
